It was a fine sunny day on the Venice Boardwalk, the last Saturday before Ash Wednesday. It was bright and sunny - perfect SoCal weather for a parade !
It was my first time to be in the parade and I got into the spirit, just like the folks in the picture above. The guy in the yellow is a WW II vet and is getting his cell phone ready so I can take his picture.
About 50 of us are outside the Venice Ale House @ Rose and Boardwalk. It's noon and we're waiting for the parade to begin.

The lady on the left came all the way from Canada to be in the parade.

Here's me - I had a great time! I even got anointed with glitter by the King! I had to get my position just right - that's not a pole behind me - it's my costume.
